Feminismus ist längst nicht überflüssig denn „In einer Gesellschaft, die nach wie vor sehr patriarchal geprägt ist, müssen Frauen noch stärker zusammenhalten um Gleichberechtigung in der Arbeitswelt und in der Gesellschaftspolitik zu ermöglichen“, meint Maria Schreiber vom Frauennetzwerk Sorority. Eine weitere Organisation, die sich für die Förderung von Frauen einsetzt und einen Austausch ermöglicht ist Viva La Vulva – “Wir sind eine Meinungsplattform für junge Feminist_innen und setzen den Fokus auf Selbstbestimmung, Freiheit und Tabuthemen wie die weiblichen Lust”, erklärt Obfrau Sofia Surma. Wie es den beiden Organisationen gelingt Frauenthemen in der Gesellschaft sichtbarer zu machen, darüber haben Rafaela Enzenberg und Daniel Bergerweiss mit den Initiatorinnen gesprochen.

Konfliktsensitiver Journalismus - Interview

Über Konflikte zu berichten gehört für viele Journalist*innen zum Alltag.
Dabei geht es nicht immer nur um Krieg, sondern auch um Auseinandersetzung wie Gentrifizierung, Polizeigewalt, oder den Gender Pay Gap. Die Liste könnte noch lang fortgestezt werden.
Sigrun Rottmann lehrt an der Technischen Universität Dortmund. Sie gibt regelmäßig Seminare zu konfliktsensitiven Journalismus. Was das ist erklärt sie in diesem Interview.

Philippinen unter dem Corona-Lock Down

Tinay Palabay ist Feministin und die Generalsekretärin der Menschenrechtsorganisation Karapatan.
In einem Skype-Interview berichtet Tinay Palabay zuerst über die Auswirkungen der Regierungsmassnahmen gegen das Coronavirus auf die Bevölkerung, speziell auf die Frauen und dann spricht sie über die Repression durch das Duterte-Regime gegen Menschenrechtsaktivistinnen, Aktivisten und Genderqueerpersonen auf den Philippinen.


TEIL 5:
1. Mai 2020 und Frauen unter dem Corona Lock Down in Indien

Annie Raja ist die Generalsekretärin der Nationalen Frauenvereinigung indischer Frauen – National Federation of Indian Women und Führungsmitglied der Indischen Kommunistischen Partei. Sie ist ursprünglich aus Kerala und lebt heute in Delhi.
Sie war die Hauptrednerin am letztjährigen 1. Mai in Zürich.
In einem Skype interview berichtet sie über die Situation der armen Bevölkerung in Indien insbesondere der Frauen unter dem Coronavirus und dem schlecht vorbereiteten Lockdown der Modi-Regierung. Sie erklärt auch, warum in Kerala die Bevölkerung so viel besser versorgt ist als im Rest des Landes.

Music and the stories behind it, this show will be featuring a variety of wonderful musicians, singers and producers. Poetry written during a workshop discussing ’how we feel in this country‘, this is ‚wider den gleichsprech‘, a project of Vlatka Frketić.

From „ON A QUEST“, recorded in Abudja/Nigeria in a studio where kids from the street can learn how to produce their music to Empress piru‘s ‚schweiz halt‘s maul’ - shout out to the right wing not only but also in Switzerland. From Mimi Mercedez, Serbias‘s feminist rap icon singing against judgement and demanding payment for women‘s work that include body and sexuality to Iva Olo who not only supports young people, most of them with migrant backgrounds, to create their own music but also uses her talent in music for a song about picking yourself up from the floor and celebrating. These and many more we will present to you.

You will hear Gorji Marzban‘s poem about ’Coming and leaving‘ as well as a short part of a performance by Danilo Jovanović. Just for this show Iva Marković will read again her poem ‚Zusammen oder getrennt‘.

Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP)

In this show you are going to hear an interview with Victoria “Mavic” Cabrera Balleza and Agnieszka-Fal Dutra Santos. They are going to tell us; how local communities build and sustain peace in countries mainly of the Global South Eastern Europe and South Caucasus, in accordance to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.1 Both make sure that women, youth, journalists, agents from civil society, and policy- and decision-makers create and sustain local, national, regional, cross-regional and cross-border networks that coordinate and promote action for effective implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda across sectors and at all levels all over the world.

One project of the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders is financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and aims at improving the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325, which recognizes women as agents of peace and calls for their meaningful participation at all levels of decision making on matters of peace and security and governance.

The Resolution 1325: Landmark resolution on Women, Peace and Security
The UN adopted resolution Resolution 1325 on women and peace and security on 31 October 2000. The Resolution 1325 urges all actors to increase the participation of women and incorporate gender perspectives in all United Nations peace and security efforts. It also calls on all parties to conflict to take special measures to protect women and girls from gender-based violence, particularly rape and other forms of sexual abuse, in situations of armed conflict. The resolution provides a number of important operational mandates, with implications for Member States and the entities of the United Nations system.

Interviewees:
Victoria “Mavic” Cabrera Balleza is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders. Mavic initiated the Philippines National Action Plan process on the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security. She also served as the international consultant to Nepal’s National Action Plan.

Agnieszka-Fal Dutra Santos is a Program Coordinator. She coordinates GNWP’s work on Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace; the linkages between Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Women Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.
