Kopfkino

Heute im Kopfkino: "O wie Onirologia".

Wir hören eine eigens für diese Sendung gestaltete Version von "O". O ist ein Hörstück als work in progress von Costantino Toth. Costantino arbeiten unter dem Künstlernamen Onirologia, stammen aus Florida und sind eine trans-qeere Komponist*in und Multimediakünstler*in und leben derzeit in Berlin.

Zum Stück:

"O was origianlly released in 2017, and made with materials that pertained to Onirologia's country of origin, Italy. Since then, O has become a continued exploration in sonic sedimentation. Each year the artist comeas back to the master track, adds overdubs, puts out the new master, and repeats.

For this fourth iteration of O, Onirologia used souds from their parents' house in Florida instead of sounds from Italy. The characteristic frquencies of each room, such as 118 Hz, 299 Hz and 483 Hz etc. were isolated and imprinted into the album. Other sounds that are characteristic to each room were also embedded; mealtime conversations, the water pipes crackling, instrument practice, the drone of the AC and garage door; sounds that had been taken for granted before the COVID pandemic's effect on international travel."
