Snapshots from the Borders
Journey to Samburu & Peninah´s agroforestry project
Sendetermin 28.03.2022 10:00 bis 11:00After a bit more than a year Peninah went to Samburu County in Kenya to visit her family, deepen the roots and continue with her inspiringly successful agroforestry project implemented to empower her village and provide a more resourceful source of food.
Throughout our journey with Peninah we get to know deeper knowledge about life in her village, she illustrates it for us, "here is maasai manyata, here forest, mountain, in this direction kids are going to school, here we planted tomatoes,...". So now we imagine what her village looks like, so we can as well here it`s sounds through recordings from people singing prayers for the rain to come, for her agroforestry project to be successful and many more.

Information zur Sendereihe
We are people who are commonly called migrants and asylum seekers. We want to cross borders set by definitions and get in dialogue with communities, politics, the economy, social and cultural life.
The project informs citizens that migration is a complex, multidimensional phenomenon and a political issue that requires efforts and concrete actions by people and organisations/networks at all levels of society.
