In this hour you can hear firsthand from Zineb El Rhazoui about her experience working for Charlie Hebdo and how important protecting freedom of expression is for her. Samia Hathroubi speaks about the problem of Islamophobia and creating ostracized communities. The two debate and exchange views about the realities of muslims and muslim identity as women in Paris, France. Linda Sarsour brings an American view speaking about the evolution of, and ongoing, hatred and fear of her culture. Becca Heller talks about her motivations and contributions for an inclusive America. She is working to provide legal aid to refugees fleeing during the Muslim Travel Ban ordered by US President Trump.

Information zur Sendereihe
Die Redaktionsgruppe Women on Air wurde von ORANGE 94.0 und der Zeitschrift FRAUENSOLIDARITÄT ins Leben gerufen. Seit 2005 gestalten wir einmal wöchentlich die entwicklungspolitische Sendereihe Globale Dialoge. Darin berichten wir u.a. über internationale Frauenbewegungen und feministischen/queeren Aktivismus, werfen einen kritischen Blick auf die globalisierte Arbeitswelt und rücken das Kulturschaffen von Frauen in den Mittelpunkt – in Form von Reportagen, Beiträgen, Interviews, Veranstaltungsberichten, Live-Sendungen mit Studiogästen u.v.m.
