Styrian Underground

Heut mit Musik von Red Gaze, dem Grazer Hardcore  Quartet, das vor kurzem ihr Debutalbum veröffentlicht hat und zwar bei Numavi Records. Das Album heißt "Cuts" und das feine Stück Hardcore mit deutlichen Rockeinflüssen bekommt ihr heute zu hören.

Außerdem gibt es Musik von Danso Key -  einem Trio aus Rom, das am 11. Jänner 2019 sein 2. Album namens "Lava" herausbringt und zwar beim Wiener queerfeministischen Label Unrecords. 

"Danso Key is a queerforward power trio that combines unrelenting drums, an electric cello boosted on low frequencies, an intoxicated guitar and velvety vocals: the result is warm but abrasive" [Unrecords].

Und es gibt eine sehr schräges Veröffentlichung vom Grazer Kasettenlabel "Wilhelm show me the Major Label". Am 29. November 2018 ist beim besagten Label das Album "Gorge" von der Band LOWLANDS herausgekommen.

"LOWLANDS are Stephen Mathewson and Gregor Tischberger who both played guitar, keyboards, drums and pushed buttons on drum machines. Stevo did most of the singing. Gregor played bass on You’re Tired and recorded most of the stuff. David Quigly is singing on the outro of Fridge" [WSMTML].

Haunted by the remote haben gerade eben - nämlich am 27. November 2018 - ein neues Album rausgebracht, das sich "Neoromancer" nennt. Die Grazer Band besteht aus einer anderen Grazer Band, den Hidden by the Grapes allerdings mit Stefan Silly als Leadsänger. Heute in Styrian Underground hören wir in Neoromancer rein.

Last but not least gibt's die neueste EP von Circle A. Das dynamische Eurodance-Duo aus Graz beschreibt die Musik auf der EP mit dem schönen Titel "Once more with Eurodance", so: "A musical cocktail with all the right ingredients: Sex, drugs and eurodance and left-wing politics." Viel Spaß!
