Katastrophe, Versagen, Zusammenhalt – zum Erdbeben in der Türkei

An einer Naturkatastrophe, wie dem Erdbeben in der Türkei und Syrien im Februar 2023 trägt niemand schuld. Aber musste es zu der Tragödie und dem Disaster kommen? Hat der Staat versagt? Welche Rolle spielt Zusammenhalt in solch einer Situation? İpek Yüksek, Redaktionskoordinatorin bei Radio Re:volt, ist in der betroffenen Region geboren und aufgewachsen und war selbst im Krisengebiet um zu berichten und zu helfen. In unserem Sendeschwerpunkt zum feministischen Kampftag haben wir mit ihr über die aktuelle Situation in der Türkei gesprochen, über ihre Arbeit in den Tagen und Wochen nach den Erdbeben und über die Rolle feministischer Organisation wie Mor Dayanışma, deren Mitbegründerin sie ist. Mor Dayanışma, zu deutsch Lila Solidarität, ist eine feministische Organisation, die Hilfe in den Gebieten in der Türkei organisiert und koordiniert, wo fast keine staatliche oder internationale Hilfe hingelangt. Nicht nur weil Frauen bzw. allgemein FINTA-Personen von Katastrophen meistens als erste und auch am härtesten betroffen sind, braucht es feministische Arbeit und Perspektiven – besonders in so schweren Zeiten. Information zur Sendereihe
We intend to create common spaces where everyone can express themselves without being discriminated because of religion, language, ethnicity, class, gender and/or sexual orientation. In addition, we cooperate with other people, institutions and organizations that also operate according to these principles.
The team in Graz consists of people with international history who come together in order to support each other, join diverse events, host workshops, gain and support empowerment throughout doing radio.
We aim to be an address for all people with international history who may have been forced to leave their homeland due to war, ecological destruction, religion, language, race, gender discrimination or economic difficulties. We want to amplify their voices and address common struggles.
